Description

One look at Aloe Tarantula PPAF and you might think its one part arachnid. Totally understandable. Given the shade-friendly plants name, its breeder completely agrees. This Altman Plants original hybrids pervasive, touchable, bristly texture and leaf coloring certainly brings to mind a big hairy spider. And you should feel no unease about gently tapping the plants hairs with your fingers, even if the same could be said about many tarantulas. In terms of succulents, as much as it is hairy, the easy-to-grow Aloe Tarantula is by no means big. With its tight, compact growth, even as a clump-former, it can be kept as a houseplant in a cozy pot on a bright windowsill or on a patio. You might even see a pinkish cast to the foliage or teeth. It will take a considerable amount of shade, taking on a noticeably greener tint. Conversely it gets a bit darker brown or black in very good light. It gets its best look in bright, diffuse light. A spot on a patio that enjoys dappled light from a tree is one such prime spot. The tubular multicolor flowers coral, peach and greenadd a bright splash of color.
