Description

Asparagus setaceus ‘Plumosus’, the Asparagus Fern, is not a true fern at all but a member of the asparagus family that produces flat, horizontal sprays of needle-fine, bright green foliage arranged in layered tiers. Origins

Native to southern and eastern Africa, Asparagus setaceus grows in forest margins and open woodland, scrambling through surrounding vegetation using small hooked thorns on its stems.
