Unusual, almost black, spiral shaped, velvety leaves with neon green veining are what makes this Begonia particularly attractive. Cultivar of Begonia Rex which is native to India.

  • Leaf undersides are deep red, contrasting perfectly with its almost black, overall look.
  • Swirly, frilly leaf shape.
  • Lets you know when it is thirsty by wilting and bounces back to shape when watered.

Growth pattern: Rhizomatous, clump-forming & bushy

Water: When the top 2-3cm of soil becomes dry. Do not allow water to sit on the leaves.

Ideal Position: North or east facing

Light: Medium, indirect or filtered light.
