Cynanchum stoloniferum, formerly Sarcostemma stoloniferum, is a very rare succulent member of this milkweed family. Like many other Cynanchum, this species produces thin succulent stems that climb. Little is known about this species besides its Kenyan origins. As the specific epithet implies, the species spreads through stolons and mature specimens have roots that are almost caudiciform. A fine candidate for a hanging basket, this species is quite easy to grow. Adaptable to shady conditions but also resilient to heat.
