The quintessential carnivorous plant. Charles Darwin called them the most wonderful plant in the world, and its easy to see why. Endemic to a small part of the Carolinas, wild populations were nearly wiped out by poaching, but the species has carried on through decades of careful breeding in cultivation. The result is an impressive range of cultivars with different colors and trap forms, and we have chosen some of the more distinctive ones to offer. Thundercat is one of the most dramatic, producing large, arched traps with deep red interiors and long red cilia that give it a vicious, almost menacing look.
