This wild tetraploid daylily comes from the Stamile’s breeding program in Florida. Hemerocallis ‘Free Wheelin’ has been quite the attention-getter in our garden with a long blooming period during which the 34″ tall, 6-way branched flower scape produces up to 50 large spider-like flowers. Each flower starts with a large central eye zone of chartreuse outlined with a wide band of red, then ends with bright yellow petal tips. Hemerocallis ‘Free Wheelin’ is truly a stunning evergreen (in warm climates) daylily.
