Description

We are pleased to offer the highly treasured, but rarely available cross of Hippeastrum and Sprekelia, x Hippeastrelia ‘Mystique’. The clumps of bright green hippeastrum like foliage are topped, starting for us in mid-May with 18″ tall cinnamon red spikes, terminating in 2-3 bright red, 5″ wide flowers. Each petal has a central blush of white toward the throat. We observe good rebloom throughout the summer months. For us, x Hippeastrelia ‘Mystique’ has thrived in part sun as long as the soil is reasonably well-drained.
