A very popular mid-season variety of redcurrant, Red Lake is a fairly vigorous, medium-sized, upright bush which gives very reliable, heavy crops of very large, well-flavoured, juicy berries carried on long strings, which makes them very easy to pick. Dont plant in a frost pocket, as it flowers early in the year. Good disease resistance. Redcurrant Red Lake has been given the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
