Spirea, Bloomin’ Easy Pop Rocks Rainbow Fizz™ Spirea

Description

Rainbow Fizz Spirea is a compact spreading deciduous shrub with oval sharp-toothed foliage that emerges a copper that fades to yellow before maturing to bright green then turns to copper-red in fall.  Flat-topped clusters of neon pink flowers cover the plant throughout summer to mid fall.  Best color in full sun and well-drained soils.  Removed spent flowers to encourage additional bloom.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Flowers on new growth, to prune as needed in winter or early spring.  Potential issues include leaf spot, blight, root rot, powdery mildew, aphids, rollers, and scale.LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Garden, Foundation Plantings, Hedges, and Containers.
