(34″ tall x 18-24″ wide) ‘Variegated Gold’ Bearded Iris is a gardenfavorite with three-season foliage striped in gold and green. The late-day sunlights up this striking foliage. Topped with graceful, fragrant, lavender-coloredflowers, this elegant perennial is a perfect choice planted behind lower-growingGeranium or Catmint, or in front of Foxglove, Ornamental Grasses, and Peonies. Formaximum color, plant in groups of 3, 12-24″apart. Plant rhizomes in enriched, freely draining soil, slightly above thesoil line. Water well, then water as needed through flowering. Remove spentblooms, and when the stem is finished flowering, cut it off at the base. Overthe years, Bearded Iris will multiply and become a low maintenance, deer andrabbit resistant start of the garden.
