Description
Double Dipped® Jamberry Coneflower’s blooms open mandarin orange and soften to coral pink, creating a two-tone display on one plant. The fully double, 4½-inch blooms are packed with overlapping petals that give each flower a plush, layered look. Plants reach 22–26 inches tall and spread 18–24 inches wide, forming a substantial mound suited for the middle of the border. We like planting it where that orange-to-coral transition can play against cooler tones nearby.Part of the Double Dipped® series, Jamberry was selected for vigorous branching and reliable summer flower power in Zones 4–8. It begins blooming in midsummer and continues into late summer with consistent color coverage. The strong, well-branched stems carry the heavy blooms upright without staking. Butterflies and bees visit regularly, while deer typically leave the foliage alone. The blooms hold beautifully in fresh arrangements and can be dried for extended enjoyment. Double Dipped® Jamberry Coneflower CareGrow in full sun for compact growth and maximum flowering. Double Dipped® Jamberry adapts to sandy, average, or moderately fertile soils as long as drainage is sharp, with a preferred pH between 6.0 and 7.5. At planting, water thoroughly and maintain even moisture through its first growing season to establish a deep root system. In subsequent years, irrigate during prolonged heat if foliage begins to droop. Heavy fertilizing is unnecessary and may reduce flower production.Remove fading blooms to encourage additional buds along the stems. In autumn, allow a few flower heads to mature for seasonal interest before cutting plants back in early spring. Avoid dividing too frequently, as established clumps tend to bloom more heavily. Ensure crowns are not buried under thick mulch during winter.Double Dipped® Jamberry Coneflower SpacingSet plants 18–24 inches apart to give each clump room to branch fully. For containers, choose a pot at least 16–18 inches wide to support mature growth. Combine with blue fescue, lavender, and little bluestem for a planting that highlights Jamberry’s warm tones against cool foliage and fine texture.
